DESCRIPTION

The ArmaLite AR-50 is a large-caliber bolt-action rifle designed and manufactured by ArmaLite in the late 1990s. Chambered for the powerful .50 BMG (12.7×99mm) cartridge, the AR-50 was built primarily for long-range target shooting and anti-materiel roles rather than typical infantry combat. The rifle uses a single-shot bolt-action design with a heavy free-floating barrel and a massive multi-baffle muzzle brake that significantly reduces the strong recoil generated by the .50-caliber round. Its rigid receiver, large bipod, and long sight radius contribute to excellent stability and accuracy at extreme distances. Known for its durability and relatively simple construction compared to some semi-automatic .50-caliber rifles, the AR-50 has become popular among civilian long-range shooting enthusiasts and competitive shooters interested in extreme-distance precision
