PT 109, commanded by Lt (jg) John F. Kennedy, the 35th U.S. president, is the most recognizable boat of the PT 103 class. On the night of Aug 2-3 1943, PT 109 was rammed and sunk by the IJN Amagiri in Blackett Strait of the Solomon Islands. Kennedy’s ordeal following that collision was dramatized in the “PT 109” movie.  The 80 ft ELCO PT boats were also used in the filming of “They Were Expendable” with John Wayne.  This scale model has been designed for high speed radio control operation using three brushless out runner motors on 4S LIPO batteries. Hull details include triple 10mm (or 8mm) propeller tube bore, brushless motor mounts and rudders. Scale details include a 20mm Oerlikon cannon, twin 50 caliber machine gun turrets, torpedo tubes, depth charge racks, rear mufflers and Cockpit Bridge. Removable chartroom and day cabin assemblies provide access to radio control equipment and batteries.\nAt 1/20th scale, the model dimensions are 1216 x 319 x 376mm.  Over 1000 hours was expended in model’s design for 3d printing on Sketchup CAD tools and the CURA slicer. Hull lines and other details came from Original ELCO factory drawings. \n\nThe hull and integrated deck are printed in four sections vertically. A 3D printer with a volume of 300x300x330mm is recommended.  However, the hull was also divided into 16 sections for printers with a 250 x 250 mm bed.\n\nPlan on using 3 to 4 boxes of PLA filament. Instructions and interactive 3d-pdf files are included to aid in the assembly of this large “plastic” kit.\nAll 186 STL files were manifold checked before printing. CURA v4.5 project files, and compiled gcodes are included.\nThe RC performance is better than scale speed with a 4S LIPO battery. If the model gets damaged as a result of a collision, another can be 3D printed making this model truly “Expendable” .\n\nThe model was printed using Ben Levi's open source BLV_MGN Cube #D Printer. In the game, she is a **maniacal mage that uses  fire** as skills.\n\nIn this project, I wanted to be as close as possible to the original character design with a more detailed tone.\n_I started this project at the end of 2021, thereby, I made the body of the character, then, I was discouraged from doing the hair, the jewelry, the texture and the rigging. After a long break, I went back seriously to this project in december 2022 to finish it completely by adding those missing elements._\nBasically, to make this character with blender, I used **differents methods from differents  youtubers of Blender** and particularlythree that were really useful : \n- the first one is **TomCat**. Thanks to him, I make my whole character in edit mode to avoid to retopology my whole character.\n- the second one is **Ryan King Art**. He helped me for the baking and procedural materials that are avaible in this blender file with the shader editor.\n- the third one is **Polyfjord**. I watched his tutorial about fireball and it helped me to make a decent animation.\n\nConcerning this file, it contains a **fully rigged and  textured character with the rigify addons**_ (you can also change the baked textures into procedural materials in the shader editor by plugging the principed BSDF [BSDF] into the material output [surface] or the mix shader [shader] into the material output [surface] depending on which procedural material you are. --\u003e procedural materials give you a better result in Blender but it is not often compatible with any other software you want to export this project)_\nThis character also has **hair particles** that are used for Thali's fur. _You can also put the render and realtime off in the [Modifier Properties] in order to hide those particles if you don't like them._\n\nThis file also contains **pre made poses** that you can directly select in the pose library.\nThe character contains differents textures :\n- **Normal textures** :\n- 4K textures for the whole body\n- 2K textures for the teeth and the tongue\n- 4K textures for the inner eyes\n- 2K textures for the belt and the gloves\n- 2K textures for the bandages (legs bandages and the right arm bandages)\n- 2K textures for the leggings\n- 2K textures for the underwear (Cheeky and the bra)\n- 4K textures for the dress\n- **Baked textures** (As said before, you can also change those baked textures into procedural materials to have a better quality) :\n- 2K textures for the gold texture (Necklacen earings, shoulder armor, dreadlocks, gold things near her ponytail, lozenge bracelets)\n- 2K textures for the ruby texture (ruby from the necklace and the other one from her belt)\n- 2K textures for the hairs (black hairs, red hairs \u0026 the bicolor hairs [black \u0026 red])\n- 2k textures for the eyebrown\n- 2k textures for the eyelashes\n\nThis file has also a textured landscape (1 texture under 1K for the sand and 1 texture under 1K for the sandstone)\n\nFinally, you have a **smoke domain** and two **smoke emitters that are set to emit fireballs**. The smoke emitter is the fireball (keep its render off because it is only used to precise the location of the fireball) and the smoke domain will limit smoke and flames from the fireball (make sure smoke emitters are inside the smoke domain)\n_Before rendering your blender project with fireballs, you will have to go in the smoke domain physics propreties and you will have to press \"free all\" and, then, you will also have to click \"bake all\" before rendering the animation. _\n\nMoreover, you have access to **3 reference collections** (one collection for hair reference, another for dreadlock reference and the last one to dreadlock gold attach and rubies).\nThese collections are there as a bonus and can be reused and remodeled on other characters if these elements have interested you.
