Description

Before herbicides, weeding used to be an indispensable operation of mechanical weed elimination in corn maize or sugar beet crops. The use of this mechanical operation gradually decreased with the development of chemical solutions. At present, weeding is becoming more common once again, mainly due to legislation and changes in the use of chemical applications. The cultivator has a robust frame with excellent versatility in weeding inter-rows, removing soil crust, and eliminating weeds in wide-row crops. The adjustable inter-row spacing from 45 to 80 centimetres makes it possible to use row in the crop of corn, sunflower or sugar beet. To reduce the risk of damaging plants and to achieve a high output, the cultivator can be equipped with the self-guiding CultiCam system.
