Seltzered Water For Flu Relief 3D model

Two high resolution heavy-bottomed glasses of bubbling water (seltzered water). The shorter glass is seltzered with dissolved powder and is accompanied by a generic sachet of medicinal powder. The sachet is fully UV-mapped and can accomodate any label. The taller glass has a dissolving tablet of flu relief medicine. The taller glass is accompanied by a generic sachet of two medicinal tablets. The scahet is UV-mapped and can accomodate any label.

These models are designed for use in advertising of cold or flu medicine., but can be posed for any scene.

Each glass model has a glass sub-component, a water sub-component and a bubbles sub-component. The second, taller glass also has the dissolving tablet sub-component. All components are quad polygons.

Because some rendering engines have difficulty with nested dielectrics consisting of three nested dielectric materials (the glass, the water and the bubbles), the water sub-component of each glass comes in two alternative forms. The first form is the full water object (a complete model of all the water in the glass). If your rendering engine is able to handle a complex case of three nested dielectrics, this is the water sub-component to use. (For example, Maxwell Renderer uses a priority method for multiple nested dielectrics and will make a good render of this type of model set, as shown in these images.)

The second form is of only the surface of the water (meniscus included). The second form allows your rendering engine to handle only the refractions and reflections of two dielectric objects - the glass and the water bubbles, thereby reducing the amount of distortion of the water bubbles and producing a clear image. This is the form to use for rendering engines such as Arnold.

The models are available in Autodesk *.fbx file format, *.obj file format, and formats for Max and Maya. These simple renders were made in Maxwell Render.
