Samovar Dulya engraved. Steam samovar factory of PN Fomin's heirs in Tula. (1898-1919)
The samovar is a device for boiling water and preparing tea. Initially, the water was heated by an internal furnace, which is a high tube filled with charcoal. Later, other types of samovars appeared-kerosene, electric, etc. At present, almost everywhere, they are replaced by electric kettles and kettles for plates.
Modern classification of samovars implies their division into the following types:
electric samovar (heating of water occurs by means of a heating element);
a fire samovar (synonyms: coal, wood);
In the late XIX - early XX century, new types of samovars appeared:
copper samovars with the device of a pipe from the side (Chernikovyh);
Kerosene samovars were produced only in Tula, a factory founded back in 1870.
