Native format is .skp 3dsmax scene is 3ds Max 2016 version, rendered with Vray 3.00 The town hall of Groningen is on the Grote Markt in Groningen. It was designed by architect Jacob Otten Husly and was built in the neoclassical style. The town hall was built on the site of the medieval wine and town hall which was demolished in 1775. A competition for a design, the first time it was operated in such a way in the Netherlands architecture for a new city hall was won in 1774 by Jacob Otten Husly. His original design was not implemented due to lack of money. The prosperity of the city in the eighteenth century was based largely on the peat, after the launch of the competition, however, were the gains made the city a lot back. In 1792 Husly made a pared down design in two phases, 1793-1795 and 1802-1810 respectively, was performed. Originally the building had a U-shaped plan. In 1962 an extension was (in Groningen, referred to as the New Town Hall) was completed to a design by architect Jo Vegter, a much criticized building that was connected to an air bridge with the Old Town Hall. It was demolished in 1996 and replaced by the residential and shopping Waagstraat, designed by the Italian architect Adolfo Natalini. The departments from within the New Town Hall were housed were moved to a new office at the Martinikerkhof: the Prefectenhof.
