This 3D model represents a reconstruction attempt of a historic (Constantinople) Greek Orthodox church, the 8th-century Koimesis Church in Nicaea/Iznik (modern Turkiye), which was destroyed in the 20th century. However, its facade is pretty much very inaccurate because I had not suceeded in finding the old photographs-references depicting the facade til my model was already finished. Therefore, I would not consider this project as a proper reconstruction project. The church is characterized by “Cloisonné masonry” (walls built of stones & bricks), cross-in-square floor plan, and pyramidal structure (through a group of 5 domes, with one tallest dome being in the center).
This church model might be ideal for historical visualizations, architectural renders, VR/AR experiences, educational projects, heritage reconstructions, or even simply personal collections.
Asset is entirely made native in SketchUp Pro 2018 (.skp file), transfered to Blender (ver 5.0) file, and later exported into GLB, OBJ, and FBX files. Tmage previews are rendered with V-Ray 3.6 (1920x1080 px).
