Overall I like the character a lot. It's a well designed low poly model perfect for a game where polygon count is tight. Texturing is done very well and the unreal materials are useful. On the other hand the maya rig is not very helpful. The controllers are pretty bare, which is fine, but the joint and controller orientation is by default in world space and the controllers did not have their transforms zeroed out. Big no-no, should be zeroed and local to the model's position. It's skinned well though. I like the product, but if you're seriously considering making a game with it you need to do what I'm doing and spend some time fixing the skeleton (fix orientation and name match it to unreal while I'm in there) and probably make your own controller set up. In the end I'm happy with it, mostly for the model and textures.
