I love this, I'm wondering if you've ever watched the old 3D anime of Starship Troopers?..looks like doo doo now compared to what even the average Joe is able to make from their home computer these days, but it was one of the first of it's kind and "ground breaking" as far as graphics and the product itself went.. But I mention it to bring up an episode where the "Rough Necks" had a humanoid support robot that was issued to them and their team..that they reluctantly accepted and hated because it wasn't human and one of them..long story short is comprehended their moral and ethics well enough to sacrifice itself for the team..and your robot reminds me of it..
