Description

The Hand of the Queen Pin as seen in HBOs Game of Thrones. Since the conquest of six of the seven Kingdoms of Westeros, by Aegon Targaryen, succeeding kings have chosen an adviser, second only in authority to the King himself, known as The Hand of the King. These advisers traditionally wore a badge of their own choosing as a sign of their position. A gold version of this particular design was first worn by Jon Arryn, Hand to King Robert Baratheon. Subsequent holders of this gold badge include: Eddard Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Tywin Lannister, Kevan Lannister, and the chainless Maester Qyburn. Upon his appointment as Hand of the Queen to Queen Deanerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister is presented with this silver iteration.
