Here is my review for the cartoon baby rig. I really like the design of the characters. It is very cute! The rig itself is good. I really appreciate the IK knee and arm pin and that the rig is scalable. – but I think for keyframe animation it has some important things missing. For example world/global space for the FK arms. In key frame animation I always have to counteranimate the body movement. Also no world space for the eye aim, yes there is a global space for the head, but I have to counteranimate the head movement for the eyes. In addition the rig has no IK/FK switch/match. So you have to rebuild the positions of IK and FK arm for a smooth blend. That all takes a lot of time and could be solved in the rig itself. It depends what you want to do with this rig. But I think it is important to know, what you will get. I guess this is still the best cartoon baby rig that you can find at the moment. But I'm just a bit disappointed that some essential features are missing. Maybe my expectations were to high. I don't know. Of course I can work with the rig, it has a lot of good features, but also some limitation I have to work around. Maybe others will disagree with my review, but this is my personal experience with this rig so far. So here in short: Pros: + cute design + knee and elbow pin/lock + world space for the head + stretchy IK arms and legs + scalable + render ready Cons: - no world space for the FK arms - no IK/FK switch/match for the arms - no world space for the eye aim - the values are mirrored, so you can't copy keys of the eyes or the hands to the other one without changing the values yourself picky stuff: - IK/FK switch/match for legs and spine - skinning/weighting on fingers (especially translation) - skinning/weighting of the eyes - can't translate tongue, need this for “Th”-mouth shape and others. - can't control iris and pupil, because it's a texture
