About the project

Nestled within the green canopies of a serene forest on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, this two-storied residential building was envisioned as a quiet retreat—a sanctuary where architecture dissolves into the landscape. The design draws inspiration from a bungalow-style approach, integrating the timeless elegance of pavilion architecture with a minimalist modern language.Pavilion-style sloped roofs hover over open and enclosed spaces, creating layers of shelter, light, and shadow. Large overhangs shield the interiors from monsoon rains while allowing filtered sunlight to play across the surfaces throughout the day. Each floor has a seamless visual connection to the outdoors, enhancing the spatial fluidity between inside and outside.
