Baby Kangaroo Rigged for Maya is a three-dimensional model of female kangaroo creature which is a well known marsupial animal which is native to Australia.
Known as joeys, baby kangaroos are born after a brief gestation of about 30-36 days. They are tiny and underdeveloped, about the size of a kidney bean. After birth, they crawl into their mother’s pouch and attach to a teat. They stay in the pouch for 6-9 months, growing and maturing. The joey begins to leave the pouch for short trips around six months, returning for nourishment and safety until it becomes independent at about 8-10 months old.
