For each model, is each part of the insect a separate piece of geometry, so I can easily texture each part ? Or are they composite meshes ?

      They are all seperated meshes.

017, but fbx version is included so you can import in every version of every 3d software.

When I import the file in blender 2.8, only the first two rows (30 insects) have separate meshes for parts of their body, the other 30 are each a single object. I assume it's due to some sort of capacity limit of some sort. Do you have a solution to that? Or do you mind sending me the 60 indivisual files you have for each of the bugs? EDIT: email is btw

When you import the obj format, these problems happen. The only thing you should do is to seperate the objects. I do not use blender but this May ve the solution: "Go into edit mode and selecting the entire objects by moving your mouse over the one and pressing L. Then press P which brings up a menu called separate, then just click on selection and it should separate them into two objects."

thank you very much! Also one more thing, do you happen to have a list of these insects' common names? I find a list of scientific latin names, but those hardly helps for me to learn more about them

This is a very good purchase, i didn't realize the amount of detail. This is great for creature kit bashing as well because of all the different variants and interesting shapes of the insects. Although not all models have the best topology (most of them do) it's all still usable and re-meshes quite easily in zbrush.
