Douglas DC-8-61 LP SS

Douglas DC-8-61 LP SS 3D model

Description

Douglas DC-8-61 is a four-engine narrow-body single-aisle jet airliner developed by Douglas Aircraft and produced from 1958-1972. Although it was shortly lead by the Boeing 707 into the airline marketplace, the DC-8 did well enough to keep Douglas in a strong position with the airlines until they merged with McDonnell Douglas. These aircraft were built in five versions including the DC-8-21, DC-8-51, DC-8-61 and the DC-8-63. The DC-8-61 could carry up to 269 passengers in a single class configuration or 251 in a two class configuration. The DC-8-61 and the DC-8-21 and 51 shared the same wingspan while the DC-8-61 and DC-8-63 shared the same fuselage. 5 remain in service around the world after almost 60 years.

This low poly model is build very near to scale and is within a couple of percent of the actual dimensions. It comes with as much detail as we can get into a model of 19000 poly. Single sheet texturing was used to complete this model and an all white livery is provided as shown.
