Antoinette Monoplane V01

Antoinette Monoplane V01 3D model

Description

This model was built to scale from recently acquired drawings. It is very detailed and accurate for one of the many Antoinette models produced. The propeller is animated. It is fully textured and all materials and textures are included. This model is worthy of really good video. It renders extremely well.

The Antoinette Monoplane was built in 1909. Many were built and there were variations in the construction. It was a graceful looking plane for its time and consistently flew well. The pilot Herbert Latham flew one of these in the Reims Air Race. These aircraft were also adopted by the Royal Flying Club. There is only one example remaining on display in the London Museum. The aircraft was also featured in the movie “Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines” made during the 1960s.
